Posting prayers and Praises from me, IJM [other organizations] and from you, fellow bloggers.
Alacrity Prayer List

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 27:4-5

*to want to seek and know HIM more! I have that longing to *know* HIM, but others I know do not.
* For them to *know* Him and to want to know Him.
* for them to realize that true happiness Only comes from God and not from anything this world can offer.
IJM Prayer List

"But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."
— Amos 5:24

  • Join the IJM Kenya team in praising God that six victims who had been illegally detained in prison were acquitted in May and June. Praise God for granting them freedom through the work of our team, and pray for their continued restoration of hope.
  • Please pray for several rulings in upcoming illegal detention cases. Pray that the magistrates in Nairobi would clearly see truth and act according to the law.

Latin America

  • Praise God for upholding justice in the case of Haana* and Ariana* in Guatemala. The judges presiding over this case convicted the aggressor, the girls’ father, to 124 years in prison—the highest sentence achieved by IJM Guatemala thus far.
  • Thank God that a Guatemalan man who had sexually abused his nine-year-old sister-in-law was rightfully convicted and sentenced to five years in prison. Pray for continued healing and reconciliation in the family.

South Asia

  • Please pray for wisdom and favor for the IJM legal team preparing an appeal case after a 7-year trial; last month, a judge acquitted two perpetrators who have held forced labor slaves in their brick kiln. Pray that the trial would move forward swiftly and the slave owners would be held accountable for their crimes per the law.
  • Please ask God to provide strong leaders to fill several open leadership positions in one of our offices combatting the trafficking of children for commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Please lift up one of our crucial partners, an aftercare home where many of IJM’s clients live. Pray that open staff positions would be filled by individuals who will provide excellent care to the women and girls who are former victims of sex trafficking.

Southeast Asia

  • Please continue to pray for the IJM Cambodia team assisting local authorities in a landmark case developing against a corrupt network that has perpetuated commercial sexual exploitation in the city. Pray that the authorities will act quickly and justly to enforce anti-corruption laws.
